But it's not going to happen, because the RIA stubbornly refuses to be assimilated by None.

Even when you guys could have your own House within None, you could call that House Random Insanity, you could hold ELECTIONS for a CABINET in the house... But no, you are stubborn and will cling to your false idols.

I dont see why we couldnt do it...

just keep two sperate government/factions...

pretty much let each side be run how they want...but when it comes to times of war, work together...

the leader at the time of the RIA has to communicate and cooperate with Delta and they both try to make the best decision for the overall group.

I see nothing wrong with the whole house thing...just as long as we are able to rule ourselfs and not answer to a higher power...and as long as we are treated as equils...

As of right now, None offers two things to potential mergers: A temporary House for the membership, and a Province. Provinces are voting districts wherein all the members of a Province elect one of their number to the Parliament (not set up until we get more people, which would be about the time a RIA sized alliance joins us). For RIA, I would make the House permanent. This would permanently give RIA two government votes. One in Parliament and one in the Noble Council.

I also discussed with Ferrous some time ago the possiblity of creating Satellite Houses.

Essentially, this would be similar to the way Puerto Rico works in real life. The alliance would switch AA to None and would be granted the full range of rights and protections afforded to members of None, but would be allowed to maintain their own government/boards/whatever seperate from None as they so choose. The only (and I mean only) restriction on them is that they should confirm any large foreign policies with the None gov first as it would reflect on us as well. Domestic affairs would be given entirely over to the House gov. Ferrous wasn't much in faor of this, but, if RIA was interested in this or something similar, I could get him to make an exception (or simply overrule him).

I like Marys idea better, but there will be no merging and keeping the name NONE or RIA. If we merge we involve the to names together.

Wow, it was really just a passing thought and I never expected anyone to consider merging. If we did why not just call ourselves NONE-RIA and make a new charter with a mix of both ideas?

Why? None is more than twice RIA's size and about 3x its strength. We would be the dominant partner.
