Title: Are there no "Trade Cancelled" messages anymore?

It's like I only get them for people I don't care about. But now I just lost lead and oil (Which means I lost Microchips and Scholars as well), but I don't know who to complain to.

You still get a message last time I checked. Unless they were sanctioned or baleeted

I haven't gotten any trade canceled messages unless they offered me a trade and then canceled it before I accepted.  I'm usually notified because as soon as I lose a trade, some random person offers me one.  No canceled message annoys me, because that means I can't even send the surprise cancelor a message bitching at them for not giving any warning.
