Title: Thoughts on : Videora and uTorrent
Post by: —- on January 18, 2008, 05:31:07 pm
I heard about both and decided to check 'em out. I have FrostWire atm, but I've heard torrents are safer.

Videora is this movie converter for an ipod touch, which is what I have. I've only heard about this on a website, no one I know has it.

utorrent is cool for big files cos you can schedule it to dl automatically in your off-peak times but I hate using torrents for individual songs. Whats frostwire? A better limewire?

Yeah, pretty much. Faster and Kenny recommended it.

And I dl songs individually, all of them. So I was just looking for a safer way to do that.

I don't use either. I just download songs off Rhapsody. Only thing I've illegally downloaded was some game, and it ended up not being what I wanted and it was Barbie Horse Adventure instead. No joke.

Frostwire = Open Source free Limewire

I've used torrents for years
before that I used eDonkey2000

I always was afraid that if I used that they'd REALLY find my IP address.
