Title: Lots of Tech Deals to be found here!
Post by: Arsenal 10 on April 12, 2008, 05:34:51 pm
I don't know if you've heard of a guy called Winstonopia, but anyway, he is currently running a tech deal forum. It is where lots of nations from many different alliances get together and buy/sell tech.

There are two types of tech deals you can be in;
1) Immediate deals - this is where you will need three slots open at once and will recieve your tech very quickly. Usually within 24 hours if all goes smoothly.
2) Long-Term deals - this is the one where you only need one slot open. A standard long-term tech deal.

The set price for 100 tech is $3,000,000 for both deals.

But what makes this forum great is that Winstonopia and his team do all the organising for you. They'll sign you up with a group for a immediate deal or give you someone to trade with for a long-term deal. It means that there is almost always a tech deal ready to go, waiting for you, as soon as your AID slots open up.

The more who use this set-up, the better it will be. So come on down and have a look. Both small and large nations are wanted.

This is a great little system, if you're looking to make money as a young nation or tech as an elite nation, this is probably the fastest way you're gonna find it.

I love and hate the fact that it's not in house. Yes It'd be way cooler if the RIA could pull something like this off, but it's awesome that we don't have to put any more time into organizing something like this since there is already someone organizing it for us! They'd love to have the RIA take advantage of the service so by all mans, let it happen!

This will bring more powerful nations, security for wars, and benefits for national wonders. You should also set a goal of 6,000 levels for each nation that has a honored place in this alliance.

2mil for 50 tech?  Seems a bit steep to me

Why not just buy off the nations that want to get into RIA for right now? and get all the smaller nations with in RIA to start doing it as well ,just say me i get 5 big nations to buy off me for 30 days and keep doing that until i am big enuff to start buying tech.

We have a program for this now, the tech farm (it's under the grovernment section of the RIA HQ) -
once you're signed up, I'll send you instructions for a tech deal - you'll receive $3 million from 1 person, and send 50 tech to each of two different people.  This way, the buyers get their tech right away.  Once you're signed up, I'll send you a new set of instructions every 10-12 days, keeping you from having to look for your own trades (but burritos you a slot or two to do them, if you want)

sign up in the tech farm forum, or by PMing me,

Note: unpinned, no need to advertise competitors

I personally think this is a good site since it already has a steady base and the money goes straight where you send it. Why try to start from scratch when we can send members here to improve themselves. Of course, if someone really wants, they can still buy straight from an RIA member with a little more work. It's not like they're competitors, more like a catalyst for tech deals.

because it's better if RIA members are getting the tech and the money from the deals.

Honestly, while I prefer people use our internal tech farm (particularly sellers, we need sellers), I'll let you post about this here, I'm just not going to pin it (since then it looks like an "official" endorsement), if you want to bump it every week or so to keep it on the top of the heap, I'm ok with that.

Ok. And can we at least borrow their tech deal pictures. It makes it SO much easier for members to know who to send to. You get a number, consult the picture, and see who has the number you're supposed to send to. Unless you don't have an account, in which case I'll post 'em here for ya if you need 'em.

no account, so you might as well post them.

so far I've been sending everyone ruler names and links of nations they had to send to, so that they don't have to look anywhere else, but I'll give the pictures a look.

This is a 1 buyer, 1 seller long-term transaction, with the seller offering a total of 100 units of technology in two stages 50 and the buyer paying $3 million. It requires 1 open aid slot and the willingness/ability to commit to complete the transaction over a 20-day period.

Those who are interested should post whether they are a buyer or a seller. Posts that do not indicate buyer or seller status will be deleted. Only admins and participants in this transaction are to post in this thread.

After signing up, make sure to temporarily bookmark the URL of this thread and check it often to see if it is full. Once it is, it is your responsibility to work out the timing either in this thread or via PMs.

Buyers or sellers in this transaction who go inactive/do not respond for 5 or more days will have their posts in this thread deleted and their slots forfeited. If you need to withdraw from this transaction, please post here saying so.

To facilitate easy verification/communication, make sure to put a link to your nation in your sig!

Sellers are strongly encouraged to review Tips for Maximum Benefit from Tech Deals.

Refer to the diagram below to see who should send what to whom. It is customary for the buyer to offer the cash first, then for the seller to offer the tech, but they are free to do this in reverse if both parties agree.

NOTE: If an extra buyer or seller posts in this thread, his/her post will be split off and merged onto an existing 1 X 1 tech transaction thread or used to create a new one.

Once all tech and funds have been exchanged, admins will unpin and close this thread. Until then, it will be kept pinned and open.

Also, this is simply a method to consolidate 1x1 deals. This also enables both buyers and sellers to sign up for more than one slot at once! Feel free to take as many slots as are available.

To this one or to the RIA one?

Also, just so you know, it seems that the 2x2s are the easiest to get into because there are fewer sellers than buyers and I guess competition for 2x2s is less than the others. 2mil for 50 tech in 2x2s, or 3mil for 100 tech in the others.

It's actually a great system. Tough to get in the 1x1s and 3x3s, but I mainly do 2x2s since they're really easy to get into.
