Firefox is the best.

Lies.

Google Chrome. It's the fastest browser.
Tab management is awesome, and did I mention Incognito mode.

Oh, and it displays the forums right.

Out dated information. Google chrome was faster than firefox 3.1, miles faster. However, ever since 3.5 months and months ago, Firefox has been as fast and now with 3.6 it is an equal speed. Using both on the same computer.

Firefox 3.6 page load times=0.7656 seconds.
Chrome=0.7554 seconds

Thats ign.com, a huge and heavy bandwidth eater of a website. I'd rather have firefox with better addon and theme support and equal speed than a barebones, uncustomizable browser.

Placebo effect does that to people. I can see how you'd prefer the bend-over solution to IE over a fully customizable, open source, fast, feature rich browser. Totally.

You'd be amazed at how much half a second makes.

I have the latest IE and it basically Crawls now.

Actually Chrome is faster.

And I couldn't give a fuck about add ons, if they were so great, then Microsoft and Google would be selling add ons for profit.

Actually if add ons were worth it there would be some kind of highly customizable, fast as shit, open source browser with some sort of huge selection of them to personalize how you browse with great add ons like linkification, downthemall, gamefox, skipscreen, ram optimizer...wait

Open source is an excuse for why the development team didn't do shit.

Its pretty astonishing how obvious it is that you don't know what you're talking about at all, and you swear by a clumsy and barebones browser simply because its 0.1 seconds faster. If you knew anything about coding or browser development you'd know firefox revolutionized browsers with its security, Gecko engine and usability as well as raw speed and memory efficiency.

But its pretty clear how much better Chrome is, right? I mean, those 0.02 seconds on page loads are so worth abandoning more security, reliability and add on and custom bility support.

But at least it has "in cognitio porn mode" But, wait, firefox has had that as an addon since two years ago. nvm

Results of multiple Chrome vs Firefox 3.5 tests--

Firefox is the hands down winner no matter where you look ever since 3.5

freewaremission:
Quote
"Overall if you look at the results of the test the conclusion isn’t very surprising: Firefox 3.5 is both faster and lighter than Google Chrome. If you add to that the much better customization options that Firefox has to offer I guess it would be unbelievable to keep Chrome  and uninstall Firefox 3.5 "

betanews:

Firefox's Private Browsing is plain, it's less flexible, and it's actually a little dull. But it does what it says it does and behaves the way one should reasonably expect. That's why I'm judging the victor in Round 1 of this duel to be Firefox 3.5. If Chrome had given me even so much as a warning about not clearing my history yet, or an option to either retain my Incognito history for the duration of the Windows session or not, then I would have scored this one for Chrome.

dotnetperls:
Quote
Here we saw an experiment that tested the memory usage of Firefox 3.5 and Google Chrome 3.0, along with Safari 4.0 and Opera 10 (some pre-release versions). The memory watcher program that recorded and accumulated memory every three seconds over 19.2 minutes of intense browsing in four browsers at semi-random intervals reported figures that place Firefox 3.5 in the clear lead in memory usage. Firefox 3.5 showed the best memory efficiency in the average, maximum and final measurements.

mashable:
Quote
with the launch of Firefox 3.5, Firefox may inch ahead of Chrome in terms of overall features however Chrome would be highly recommended if you are a ‘light’ surfer who looks for speed and simplicity over features, addons, etc. The release of Firefox 3.5 would make Firefox a faster, more private browser to what it already is so that might turn the tables completely,

Argument's over. I don't care what the hell browser you use, but at least get your facts straight. Firefox is the best browser since 3.5 and on.

If there is one thing I can bitch about with knowledge, it's how absolutely idiotic Firefox fans are.
Just because they download shit people who actually know what they're doing but too stupid to make money off of their talents.
I could care less if you use open source, go ahead and brag, then tell me if you actually coded all that shit. If you can do it, great, why not make money with your talent? If not, shut the fuck up and be quiet like the leach you represent.

I'm the idiotic one when you're blindly supporting a browser without actually providing evidence of its superiority when I did, and can, provide droves and droves and links and links comparing the two that prove how much better firefox is?

Ok.

Google chrome: Light weight, feature light, boring browser for light browsing with a convenient privacy mode. Family van.

Firefox: Feature heavy, addon support, high memory usage, high speed, customability, lots of under the hood tweaks to make. Sports car.

Easier way to sum the two up right there.

That's a piss poor argument.

Considering it all, Google makes millions each year.
I'm surprised Mozilla is in business still.

That, is the weight of the world. Money.

Are you really comparing a multi billion dollar juggernaut company with a browser company? Really? You really ARE stupid.

Sit down, son, learn your facts. Firefox 3.5 is the best, and most popular, browser made right now. Fact. You've been dancing and dodging this fact, but this launches it right in your face. You never had an argument to begin with, I bet you like Mac too right? You like chrome for the sake of being different and have wrong assumptions and facts up your sleeve about firefox. Sit down, argument's over. Know fact 2? As of 2010, chrome is the THIRD most popular and successful browser. A horrible trend, because the ancient Safari and the juggernaut Firefox still beat it way down the charts.

Sooo weird how they're still in business. I wonder how. Oh, right, cause firefox is the best browser. Thats right!

Firefox has AdBlock. Not just pop-ups. ALL THE GODDAMN ADS.

Only problem I have with Firefox is that recently when I type something in the address bar without it being a URL ("cracked", for instance), instead of taking me directly to the website like it used to, it searches for it in some weird Yahoo engine. I have no idea why it does this. It used to use Google for that too, ran a spyware check but nothing showed up.

btw crazyman=troll

That could be your ISP's DNS being an asshole. Try switching to google DNS or OpenDNS to see if it changes.

C-zom, you can't really argue with someone who simply pastes a long winded 'no u' to everything you say.

I applaud your effort, but still. >_>

I can, and did. I take trolls and no u-ers and blunt force trauma them in the head with logic until they run away. It is a frustrating battle each time, but worth the effort.
