Title: Its 9/11
Post by: Brian on September 11, 2011, 12:08:11 am
hey fuckface, where were you when you found out?
I was in 6th grade homeroom. I was told 'The twin towers have been hit by terrorists' over the intercom, we then went about our normal school. with no idea wtf was going on.

I was getting ready in the morning before school. I lived on a military base at the time, and went to an army brat school, so we were half split between kids who were wishing they were old enough to enlist and kids who didn't understand what the hell was going on

3rd Grade, my father got me out of school.
Me: Yay! No school for the rest of the day.

For reference, I'd be more upset today if it happened.

I overheard 2 teachers talking about it, didn't hear everything and I thought one of the planes landed on a neighboring school and was like wtf, planes don't go there

on a side not, it just seems odd to me to say it's the 10th anniversary of 9/11, deam I'm getting old

I woke up at 7, walked upstairs just as it was happening on the news. was like "wow, i'll put the coffee on", and then a second plane hit it and I was like "... I think I know what I'm writing my term paper on symbolism about now". Was the most angsty day of school ever all over the place.

My fourth grade teacher always had the news on before class started, I saw the image of the plane hitting the towers on the news but then they turned off the news and never said a word about it. I thought it was a movie until I asked my father when I got home. My school took the tactic of not telling us.

I was in 7th or 8th grade, all of the classes had it on their TVs and I got a ride and went home early since we weren't doing anything.

In 7th grade in English class I think. Walked into class and the teacher had the TV on. We all sat there and watched it. I think we ended up watching the second plane hit and one of the towers collapsing on the news as it happened.

I was a junior and in my morning spanish class.  We were in the Labs using a spanish program for writing, when we heard about it.  Our teacher put the news on, just in time for us to see the 2nd plane hit.
I shall always remember that day.
