Debating if I should leave netflix for blockbuster, or stick with netflix.
Here's my situation:
I have an HTC Inspire 4g. Guess who streams to it? Blockbuster
Guess who doesn't even have a decently functional APP to track my que anymore: Netflix
+1 for blockbuster
I stream both to my PC, so it's even there.
I also stream to my PS3, but I've never used blockbuster for that, so which is better for streaming to Ps3? I know that the steaming to 360 with netflix is nice, but I don't have gold right now, since I play PC games more than xbox.
Also, I'm kinda interested in the game part, which netflix doesn't have, and WON'T have for awhile.
So, heres some questions I have that will hopefully help me make a decision:
1. Is the streaming to Ps3 better with blockbuster or netflix? Why?
2. Are there "late fees" with blockbuster if i get dvds or games mailed to me? I know there are none with netflix
3. Which has more stuff for insta-stream? Blockbuster or netflix?
Any help anyone can give would be appreciated.

Netflix just announced they're spinning off their DVD by mail service and calling it Quikster. Doesn't really change much, but they will be offering games when this happens.
And I could be wrong here, but I think Blockbuster streaming charges per movie. In my eyes it doesn't even compare to what Netflix offers. I also have no idea that blockbuster even streamed to the PS3. Netflix is pretty good on it though.

Yea... I wanna stick with netflix, but they keep yelling LOL PRICE HIKE! every few months...
-
Apparently the only real reason for the price hike of the DVD+streaming option was to separate the two. So they probably won't be pulling that shit again any time soon.
It seems like more hassle than it's worth, though. Two different sites, two different bills, etc. Netflix really doesn't want to be in the DVD business anymore.

stick with netflix

But blockbuster streams to my HTC Inspire and netflix never will because for some reason Netflix and ATT have a shitfight going on.
Which confuses me, because you'd think ATT would want to hook up with netflix, you know. Since dish Network owns blockbuster now...

From what I am reading here you pay per movie you watch, IDK how much; unless it's one dollar a day per movie, I don't think it's worth it.

well fuck that.
Quickster/netflix, i'm with you... for now...

When was the last time you've looked for the netflix app? because I'm almost certain that the app is out on all android 2.2/2.3 phones.
-
Yeah it's in the app description. All 2.2 and 2.3 phones.
But if all else fails you could just root the phone.

I was under the impression that netflix streaming selection was shit, at least compared to they DVD selection. Have they remedied that yet?
-
It depends on what types of stuff you like to watch really. They have a surprising selection of animu. They also have tons of documentary. While i haven't looked, I don't think their blockbuster action movie selection is to good though. Oh, they also have all the startreck shows to stream.
also, i read in the paper that the prices of netflix will stay exactly the same once they split up. There will just be 2 different sites and 2 different bills. They claim its to de-complicate things on their end... oh, and you can get games for wii, 360, and ps3 now too.
