"I love you but I need to see what my options are."
Let's dissect this sentence.
-
"I love you but I need to see what my options are."
It means 'I love you, but am not as in love with you as I used to be. I'm fairly certain our relationship would work out, but I wish to explore the greater world to see if there isn't someone about whom I'm more passionate. We could be great together, but I won't be certain about that until I've seen what others have to offer. If I haven't found something utterly serious in a month or two we should certainly get back together. As they say, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder". '
More or less. My break-up might be a little rusty.
-
Ooooh very nice.
That would work if they were in a relationship. They are already broken up and have been for six months. Now all of a sudden, on the eve of when they first got together, this guy is telling her he still loves her.
-
Oh, well then I have no fucking clue. That's really more of a break-up line than a 'let's get back together' line.
-
I agree, that's what I said when I heard it.
-
"I'd like to get back with you but first I need to check if I can do better" ?
-
That right there makes PERFECT sense. Grazie Ganon!
-
haha ive said that before and it meant like this to me "I wanna get back with you but you're my third choice i gotta see if i can get one of the 2 hot girls at school first" =D
-
Well that's good to know.
