Title: Oh Terraria
Post by: Locke on January 08, 2012, 03:15:41 am
Open the game, load up single player to go dump some stuff in my chest, save and exit to change a setting, go to load the world again...character gone. Panic ensues.

Cool thing about it was once I found out there was a backup and put it back in, because characters are separate from worlds everything I dropped was still in my inventory. So I duplicated all that.

yeah I'm not sure it's possible to mule things off of a multiplayer server, but you can mule things on to it; run a server with the map you need stuff from, send your mule into your own server, get the stuff you want, /save, kick him, and then have him rejoin the multiplayer server you want to take the stuff to. since we can't control when the multiplayer server saves, unless it saves while your mule's inventory is empty it seems like exiting his instance of terraria will cause his stuff to be duplicated. I try not to abuse it though.

This needs to be a filter.

if you run the server and type 'save' into the command line window it saves... also you can control the time of day.
