Post by: Shadow on August 31, 2012, 06:22:36 pm
Series 7 of Doctor Who premieres tomorrow with 'Asylum of the Daleks' at 9pm EST/8pm CST on BBC America (also on regular BBC). Today there is a marathon of Series 5 and tomorrow is a marathon of Series 6.

Can't wait. Should be epic.  :awesome:

Over the last couple years I've watched all of the new series and its one of my favorite shows. >_>

Every time I've seen this show it's British people running around from robots or something.

yeah didn't c3po make an appearance in one episode, except they painted him red and he just repeated the same thing over and over? seems these shows get such a fanatical following, and yet they can't be arsed to come up with something original, they have to steal characters from star trek and deep space 9. I wonder if it's a series derived from a movie like that 'I aim to misbehave' cowboy captain who got a series from the move 'serenity'. That movie would have sucked so much more if they hadn't had olivia wilde play the retarded psychic girl.

C3PO wasn't around in 1963.  George Lucas was an impressionable 19 years old at that time.  And it wasn't Olivia Wilde who played the 'special' girl in Superfirefly, it was Denzel Washington.

The movie "Serenity" came after the show "Firefly" came off the air, and fans started a movement to bring it back.

Indeed.  I think this is the humour of Llamavore's statement.  Only, it is no laughing matter.

you guys are wrong

I remember seeing the previews about the movie long before seeing people talk about the series on facebook. I heard the series got cancelled, I guess it wasn't as good as the movie? Probably all that weird slang they used, seemed like they forgot which genre they were in. also that priest was annoying, stereotypical spiritual black character. they should have left him dead instead of bringing him back. him dying was one of the best parts I thought.

No we're not.  Firefly was the most original series on TV since Star Trek, which was based on Doctor Who, which was based on My Little Pony.
Title: Doctor Who series 7 episode 2 - "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship"
Post by: Shadow on September 08, 2012, 04:12:21 pm
When in Egypt with Queen Nefertiti, the Doctor receives a call about a spaceship which will crash into Earth in six hours. Taking Nefertiti with him, he picks up Edwardian explorer John Riddell and his companions Amy and Rory ten months after he last saw them in "Asylum of the Daleks", accidentally taking Rory's father Brian on the TARDIS as well. They land on the spaceship and come face-to-face with ankylosaurus dinosaurs.

Merged all of the topics into one series topic.

...and sorry Pterrydactyl. Though there haven't really been many spoilers in this topic. Most of the stuff has stuff that was announced before the episodes aired. :v

Also there are ways to watch it without a TV. >_>
