1. its a LOT more common to find a guy, not a girl, thus if your going to assume, assume guy.

2. "dude" doesnt necessarly mean he thinks your a guy, its just a way to speak. hell, i have heard girls call other girls "dude" before, its just the way someone speeks.

I agree that it is more common to find a guy other than a girl. =D I didn't say I wasn't a guy either ...LOL. I like to stay vague about my gender. Though I do give subtle hints. XD

I've learned from some other games I've played that it's best not to say what you are. You never know who is watching... >_> Er...who is reading?

it is in my opinion, that everyone is slightly sexist, even if they dont mean it or wish it.

This is why most of the time when you are behind a bad driver and you cant see if they are a guy or a girl, you say the oposit sex.

In turn, we also tend to put our own sex before the other when speaking casual talk.

the fact that you said girl first, kinda says to me that chances are you very well may be a chick.

However, this is only my own experiences, and only my thoughts on it. I still woulnt put money on it, but then again, I could really care less what you are.

I don't actually change the way I act much at all unless I like the girl in question... and then only when I'm talking to her about that specifically. Otherwise, again, no change.
