FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE WILL BE A MULTI-PART SERIES

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released in multiple parts.
According to Square, Final Fantasy VII Remake will be "told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience."
No additional details were provided, including any kind of price or release timing for part one.
The Final Fantasy VII remake was first announced at E3 and we recently heard the original composer won't be involved.
I would not be surprised if the Escape from Shinra Tower will be the end of Part 1.
Though I suppose I'm actually still on the fence that it is going to be a bad game or that this ruins it. But I'm getting Half Life flashbacks over this article here.

Though this would explain the headspin from "remaking Final Fantasy VII would be impossible" to "yeah we were thinking 2016. cool wit u??"

I remember when SquareSoft used to be my favorite gaming company because of Secret of Mana II & Chrono Cross.
It's a good thing my recollection of gaming history ended after those two.
