e_e Answer the question.
Mine: Disturbed. Obviously. Also Metallica, Iron Maiden.
-
I think anybody who's ever been on RI at the same time as me knows the answer.
For those who haven't...
MEGADETH!!![/i]
-
I prefer Metallica. @_@
>_>
-
The Killers and Motioncity Soundtrack.Disturbed's good too. Also ACDC.
-
Muse or Grinspoon. Probably Muse. Or maybe Slipknot...
-
Muse owns. Megadeath = <3. Metallica is a classic. Disturbed.. is disturbed .
Esteban, still loving The Killers eh?
So hard.. iTunes says it's Manson, who is good. It's gotta be between Slipknot.. SoaD.. Metallica.. or the Foo Fighters. <__< >__>
-
Oh yeah, add Marilyn Manson to my list of possibles
-
hmm
h2o is good
All is very good
flow is an amazing band
but the best i think is the japenese band "project 634"
-
Iron Maiden.
I think you all saw that one coming.
-
Coming from the legendary bands, and talented artist in them if you can actually single out one band that you like then you obviously know little about the world of it. Sorry, guys.
-
I personally can't stand Manson. At all. Guy is a complete nutjob.

As much as I love his music, I agree
-
Botch.
-
All That Remains
-
It depends. I have a lot of people who's music I'm listening to a lot right now, and stuff...
Hmm...
Right now it's definitely The Beatles, Buddy Holly, U2, and SilverChair.
Foo Fighters FTW.
Tool is awesome too.
The killers kill.
Disturbed has some great tracks.
You guys all have really good taste, from what I can see.
-
Led Zeppelin.
Also: OMFG JOKER JOINED
-

I totally agree. It's part of the reason why I like this music so much. If I wanna creep some formal person out in school I start playing a Manson song really loud on my ipod and, since they ask who it is since they can hear it so clearly, I tell 'em and they're totally freaked.
-
Foo Fighters is my band. Screw off. <_<
evil greg guy: I got finished listening to The Fall Of Ideals by All That Remains. I have a huge headache now.
-
Alter Bridge or Our Lady Peace. Runner up would probably be Sum 41
-
Wow.. Sum 41 is a band I haven't heard in a while
-
Yeah, I agree.
Never liked them but its been one hell of a long time since I heard them.
-
I thought they died.
-
Yeah, I agree.

^ This. I never really got what song made them so big
-
"Fat Lip"
I used to love that song. I always lump Sum 41 together with blink-182, who I never liked...
-
Botch.
Whew, a page full of nu-metal and watered down alt-rock, and one person has good taste. I'm also a big fan of Converge and Dillinger Escape Plan.
-
Foo Fighters FTW.
I'm just about to listen to their new album. It's gonna rock
-
Oh yeah. People buy CDs. Madness.
When the new songs come to youtube I'll pick it apart and dl 'em. I hear it's great
-
Dave Grohl FTW.
-
I thought they died.
Nope, but their Lead Guitar player left. They aren't dead though, they just came out with a new album in July.
and I haven't heard Dillinger Escape Plan in a while...I used to love Unretrofied.
-
Arranged in no certain order (favorite-ish bands):
Avenged Sevenfold
Thursday
The Used
30 Seconds to Mars
Do As Infinity
Taking Back Sunday
Hawthorne Heights
[a lot more that won't be listed because this list is too big already]
-
Weird, Unretrofied is probably the least representative of all their songs. They have a new cd coming out Nov 13, I'm super excited for it.
-
Unetrofied was the sng that introduced me to them. It was on SvR 2006, and I liked it, so I looked them up. I was surprised, because the songs I found sounded nothing like Unretrofied for the most part. lol.
As for a new CD, sweet, I still need to look for some of their stuff, I just eventually forgot about them.

<33 30 Seconds to Mars and Taking Back Sunday is alright

Excuse me God of music, but everyone has tastes. -_- I'm sorry for liking Disturbed and Metallica, and for others liking music that suits their taste. I'll just dig into the underground and find all the /reaalll/ music. Sorry our tastes aren't as eccentric as yours.
-
Point taken. I am a music snob, I readily admit it, and I am ok with that.
-
Disturbed rules. \m/ And old Metallica too. I'm not much a fan of pretty much everything I've heard so far after The Black Album >_>
-
Thanks. -Nod- Most people would argue and say they aren't etc etc. Its cool to like eccentric music, just don't rub other people's tastes in their face. Thats not cool.
I agree. Metallica after the Black Album is really, really bad. <3 Unforgiven from the black album.
-
Yeah, that one's a good one. As far as Disturbed, I really like Stricken and Meaning of Life. You?
-
"a" favorite band!?! that's blasphemy! i like a bunch of bands: Linkin Park, Distrubed, SOAD, Fall out Boys, Red jump suit apparatis, My Chemical Romance, lighthouse, sum41, nickelback, ect.... and then again, i love Broadway music too! Rent, Les Miserables, Little shop of Horror, Wickes, Phantom, Suessical, even more ect.
(warning: spelling errors may have occured in the precious post)
-
Yeah, that one's a good one. As far as Disturbed, I really like Stricken and Meaning of Life. You?
My top five:
1:Stricken
2: Liberate
3: Guarded
4: Meaning of Life
5: Deify
Down With the sickness doesn't count, cause everyone knows and loves that one. Meaning of life rules, but gets a bit disjointed near the end. Love the first half though. "WANNA GET PSYCHO." And Stricken is my favorite one, period.
-
No one said you have to put one. >_> Even C-Zom, the TC put multiple bands, just most people ask what's your favorite band as a starter, cause it gets talk going.
I haven't heard Liberate in a long time, Believe is the album I'm missing right now. But it's the song that got me into them, thanks to THUG2. (Yes, I get much of my music from video games. >_>)
-
ah.... ok ^^ it is a good conversation starter
-
That it is. ^^
Liberate is damn good. But my friend, if you ever want to blow the FREAKING ROOF off your house, listen to Guarded on the biggest speakers in reach. @_@ The opening is... insane.
-
Lol. Guarded is probably my fourth favorite, Liberate being 3rd. Not sure about my fifth, I think I'd have to go with The Game.
-
The Game is great, and also uses the subwoofer like no other. Conflict is good but only for the opening drum and guitar line. <3 That. The rest is crap though.
You ever hear Just Stop or Deify? Those are great.
-
Yeah, those are pretty good. TTF was a really good album, The Sickness had a few good songs, but many were just for certain parts, and I've yet to hear most of Believe.
-
The Sickness was... eh. Put it this way, the only credible songs on their are Down With and Voices. Then most of the rest are only good for certain parts. IE screams, openings, etc.
Believe is their worst, the only song I like on their is liberate. And remember is /ok/. The rest are forgettable garble songs.
I love almost all of TTF though. Stricken being simply their best. And Sons of plunder is just.. <3
-
O_O How could I forget about Sons of Plunder? That was my favorite song when I first started listening to them. Still is awesome.
-
Sacred lie is fantastic too.
Their best is Stricken, but Sons of Plunder will always have a place in my heart.
"Shits loaded and its READY TO GO!"
-
Agree'd. Completely. p-o
-
I so wanna see them live. I watched their entire show at Norfolk on youtube. Effing incredible.
-
My dad saw them at Ozzfest one time. He said they were okay, and it was funny, because they had David come out on a Straight Bed or whatever it's called, and tied up and all. lol. I'd love to see them live too, hopefully they'll be back on tour sooner or later.
-
Yeah, hopefully. I hear their ozzfest performance was pretty bad actually. After their next album is released in 08 they will tour for it hopefully. >_> Hopefully.
-
Hopefully lol
-
God I would love if they came to New Jersey. @_@
-
Same with Colorado. If they do, it'll probably be in Denver or Red Rocks. >_>
-
Yeah. >_> Disturbed will most likely only go to cities, they don't really go to rural places or even moderately toniculated towns.
-
A lot of bands seem to be like that, don't see to many coming to the Springs sadly.
-
Or to the House of blues or any performance stages at all in NJ. ;_;
