Post by: wethepeople on September 21, 2007, 10:19:31 pm
Oblivion runs on pure medium settings on.. wait for it...

1680*1050 at 25FPS outside, 50FPS inside.

Owned. I'm getting a 2600XT in a month or so.

^_^

Also, I bought Bioshock today... limited edition! Comes with a Big Daddy figure.

Turn on HDR and try it again.

If I had to choose between HDR and AA, I would (and do) choose HDR because the lighting is a fuckload more realistic. But the rough edges on meshes/textures can get annoying sometimes. <_< To fix that, I just go to a place with amazing lighting effects and the annoyance goes away.

Card isn't that good nub. AA sucks. Plus on this monitor I don't need it.

HDR fried the game, ran at like 5FPS. I'm kidding actually, didn't even dare try it.

I don't want noodles ala 1600 pro

Also, FUCKING DOWNLOAD OPO. Assuming it still exists. (I was following its creation...a fucking long time ago, and it was amazing.)
OPO = Oblivion Polygon Overhaul

And then look around for the newest/best VWD (visible when distant) mod out there. There should be plenty of them by now. <_<

And if you have never downloaded a Distant Landscapes mesh/texture replacer, I don't love you anymore.

>_> Non-rapidshit source for OPO, which seems to have died after I stopped following it... ;_; It had such amazing potential, too.

Sign up at gamespy, log in with that name at fileplanet, download OPO.
