A group of supporters of presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul have organized an effort to flood the Paul campaign with millions in donations all in one day. Such an event would catapult the congressman into prominence and garner him tens of millions of dollars worth of free media coverage on top of the contributions.
So far around 18,000 have signed up here (http://www.thisnovember5th.com/) to donate $100 each to the campaign on November 5th. (That's tonight at 12:00 AM EST.) However, there is no need to sign up to contribute to the Paul campaign, and being an enormous supporter myself, I haven't even done so because I'd rather not give away my email address. The site is receiving 240,000 views per day, not unlikely by many individuals such as me who will contribute without having registered.
The stated goal of thisnovember5th.com (http://www.thisnovember5th.com/) is to raise ten million, which I think is unlikely. However, even if they managed to raise a quarter of that, the project will be a massive success. Right now it looks as though they will easily achieve this.
Here (http://mensnewsdaily.com/2007/11/04/ron-paul-report-who-supports-him-and-why-is-november-5th-important/) is an article that explains the significance of the November 5th date.
If you're a U.S. citizen and a Ron Paul supporter, now is the time to show it. Send the doctor as much as you can. It doesn't have to be $100; it should be as much as you are willing and able to invest to prevent the onslaught of absolute dictatorship in this country. We are closer to it at this very moment than you might imagine; technically and legally, we are already there.

Voilą! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox toniculi, now vacant and vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition! The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
and my favorite quote....
"Beneath this mask there is more than flesh... Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof."[

Freeware = you suck.

Money is what elects people these days. If you like a candidate, donate. Or at least buy a bumpersticker. Something.
I can see if you are in high school and don't have a job. But otherwise...

Graphic novel > movie.
That said any campaign saying you need to donate to somebody to prevent imminent dictatorship is the kind of shrill hysterics that gives non-mainstream political movements and candidates a bad name and nips their chances at success in the bud.
-
Sorry, what exactly does Ron Paul have to do with the 5th of November other than the funraiser?
Did he watch V for Vendetta?
-
What's with all this V for Vendetta stuff here anyway? You'd think traditional English holidays celebrated by burning would-be terrorists in effigy would be more tonicular than graphic novels about stylish, successful anarchist terrorists fighting a Fascist British state turned into movies meant to grind political axes. Harumph.
