Random lnsanity / So, are you left wing or right wing?
« on: November 15, 2007, 09:23:20 pm »
Your scored 5.5 on the Moral Order axis and -6.5 on the Moral Rules axis.

Matches

The following items best match your score:

   1. System: Conservatism
   2. Variation: Extreme Conservatism
   3. Ideologies: PaleoConservatism, Conservative NeoLiberalism
   4. US Parties: Republican Party
   5. Presidents: George W. Bush (93.01%)
   6. 2004 Election Candidates: George W. Bush (93.01%), John Kerry (57.50%), Ralph Nader (39.32%)

Funny how it compares me with George W. Bush, but mentions nothing of Ronald Reagan. I am by default, a Conservative Anarchist Libertarian Capitalist, despite what a quiz says I know where I stand. :/

i wish for my next post to be #4000 for me, oh wait

Granted.  You get transported back to the Middle East from the eighth to the fourteenth centuries and join the Hashshashin ..... the original Assassins. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassin#Etymology)

I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller, I wish I had a girl who looked good, I would call her.

I am more than willing to do both.  I'll cut my finger and gladly join the Hashshashin.

Wish granted, Lamentations - you get drunk and die though so that universities are no longer boring for us.

I wish I was master assassin!

Granted, but what?

I wish for mo money!

Granted, quite literally: you receive thousands of illegal/non-usable dollars with Moe's face (from the Simpsons) on it. Then, the FBI move in and kill your entire family and torture you for committing treason "just 'cause".

I wish I was an assassin.

I wish for a million dollars.

Random lnsanity / I'm writing a story
« on: November 13, 2007, 10:57:20 am »
Hmmm, I can create a few characters for you.

Character name: [Lieutenant] Jessica Ve'deyah
Weapon: Muramasa Blade+Masamune Blade combo, and the Kilreques.*
Special Skills: **
Good Guy or Bad Guy: Good Guy
Personality Traits: ***
Loner or joins party(if good guy): Loner
Anything else: See notes.

Notes:

*Kilreques - Pronounced Kel-rik-iz, a two-bladed sword rumored for transforming into a large claymore-type sword, it decides who its master is by way of driving the rest to a state beyond insanity, a suicidal without death. The proper master will be able to wield it without any problem. When driven into its master's enemy, it is possible that the enemy will feel the pain of those killed by him (good or bad alike) prior to death.

** >>>

Muramasa Blade: Cannot be sheathed until the user has killed someone with it. Besides that, the Muramasa blade continues to grow in strength with each kill. Without the Masamune blade, it will drain the user until his energy is no more, that is until she dies. With the Masamune blade, the Muramasa instead drains the energy of the user's enemies.

Masamune Blade: On it's own, is incapable of being used in combat-but is able to resurrect fallen comrades. When with the Muramasa blade, it will drain the user's enemies' health to heal the user or the user's allies.

Sword skills:

Spliced Sword - Ability to combine the Muramasa blade & Masamune blade combo into a zweihander-claymore hybrid-type sword known as the Deathbringer. The Deathbringer is capable of leveling an entire sky-scraper building or mountain alike.

Drakan Blade - While using the Kilreques in combat, it is combined with the power of a darkened dragon. Speed and Strength is increased while defense becomes nothing, this should be rarely used as it drives the user to an insane level of berserk status.

*** >>>>>

Personality Traits: While she is loyal to her distinct goals, she is very rebellious to outsiders regardless of alignment and combative period, the typical good person hates her for her cold logic that has her willing to kill the innocent to get rid of her enemies, but at least at the end of the day she gets the job done-of which would be one major reason the enemy hates her.

================================================================================

Character name: Viktor X-Vicar
Weapon: Gae Bolg, Dark Excalibur, and the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi+Kris combo
Special Skills: *
Good Guy or Bad Guy: Bad guy
Personality Traits: **
Loner or joins party(if good guy):
Anything else: See notes.

Notes:

Gae Bolg - Does additional damage to all opponents in the air.

Dark Excalibur - Does darkness damage to any around except the user.

Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi + Kris - When the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi is swung, the target is immediately thrown into the air as the Kris becomes enflamed, coming from behind to stab the target in the back with several burns. This is useless against foes already in the air.

* >>

Skills:

Tri-Thrust Attack: Each time the Gae Bolg connects, the enemy will be damaged as if he were hit an additional three times.

Darkened Clouds: When the Dark Excalibur is used, a dark cloud appears around the target to blind and poison the enemy.

** >>>>

Personality Traits: Not much is unknown except he is very deceitful, and will kill even his own soldiers that have failed him.

Flask gets to learn everything by asking only to realize he can no longer think.

That makes absolutely no sense. Complete knowledge does not equal lack of thought. I can still think that I want a PB&J sandwich even though I know everything about a PB&J sandwich and the wanting itself.

Au Contraire.

Your wish was to learn anything you wanted by simply asking about it IN YOUR MIND. Thus, by my removing your ability to think you are unable to ask anything inside your mind.

Anyhow...

Wish granted, you get more beer only to die slowly in a horrid accident with Flask by your side.

I wish I could resurrect anyone I want.

I like Flask's answer better also, since I love cat-fights.

Ok, I'm granting two wishes at once.

Craig happens to become more interactive but then gets assassinated by a possessed wall. Flask gets to learn everything by asking only to realize he can no longer think.

I wish that the sexy women were the only people allowed to walk naked.

Granted, but their music causes me to commit suicide and my restless soul is doomed to haunt every N Sync fan in the world for eternity... (maybe an exaggeration, I don't hate them that much >_>)

I wish for a pony!

Granted, but your pony begins singing all of your most-hated boy-groupies songs ever to exist and you cannot stop it.

I wish boy groups never existed and only good female singers were actually allowed to sing.

Granted, but you're grounded forever to your prehistoric ancestors' lifestyle.

I wish I lived in the dark ages as a cyborg so I could conquer the world and influence everything from then on without ever disturbing my own existence in the future.

40GB PS3's have no PS2 backwards compatibility.

Don't know why Rainbow Six wont work.

I'm going to look this up, as from what I know, only Europe's 40GB version has no backwards compatibility.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm thinking about the 60GB version. NTSCPS3-60GB has total backward compatibility, PALPS3-60GB has backward compatibility only through software-emulation.

NTSCPS3-60GB is discontinued. It's been replaced with the NTSCPS3-80GB which is software emulation only.

...which doesn't have much to do with what I meant to point out. Which I do have the NTSCPS3-60GB. We're trying to figure out which version he has, and it couldn't be the 80GB Version or the 20GB version.

EDIT: Also, the newest firmware released by sony disabled emulation in the PS3
I would like a link to that.

I just found out that the firmware update wasn't scheduled till just before Christmas this year, but the hardware emulation is still in tact as of now.

Okay, well if you find anything about it online-send me the link.

Granted, but as they're not made yet it's live action and the last thing you see is Jack Bauer coming up behind you while you're watching yourself on the TV and him shooting you in the back of the head as a terrorist for having classified information.  And that's in the first episode so you never see the rest.

I wish for a personal GIR.

Granted, but it goes haywire becoming another Chuckie and kills you.

I wish the next person's wishes never happen.

Random lnsanity / PlayStation 3 Question

Quote from: Sir Gerald Goldberg
Well I bought a PS3 like 3-4 months ago. When I first got it I turned on my TV plugged the old school RED YELLOW AND WHITE wires in.. put in a game plugged the system in and turned the shit on. I then heard the sound and then the games sound shortly after but no IMAGE.

I let it sit around 2 months In its box. Then my older brother came over and I talked about with him... he took it to his house and it worked perfectly fine there.

So he brought it back a few days later and we plugged it in again... same shit. SOUND NO IMAGE.

We then got a HDMI cable and the game system was at his house so I waited a while. He brought it back and we used the HDMI on another TV and played the old ass game FEAR... in the beginning we could only hear the sound and no image. Then the game came up! I played for a little bit and my brother wanted to play GTA 3 from the old PS2. We turn off the game and put in the new game... NO IMAGE.

We brought the system back in my room and played FEAR which was the only thing that seemed to be working... the next day (today) my brother came back with another game and left... I try to play it and nothing.

ONLY GAME THAT IS WORKING IS FEAR.

I'm so fucking pissed and clueless... I'm guessing its something with our TV's or maybe something with DISH but I have no clue.

Anyone know whats going on?

Hmmm... that's weird. I've heard nothing like that happening. Though like the above poster said, could be a scratch on the discs. However, I suggest you try something that will reset the PS3's default image-output: when you first turn your PS3 on, keep your fingers over the power-on symbol for a good five seconds until it beeps again. Whatever cable(s) you're using it will recognize and let's say it recognizes HDMI-you'll then be asked if you want to use HDMI as your default, then confirm it. Afterwards, you'll be asked what resolution your screen is compatible with (480i, 720i, 720p, 180i, or 1080p) and again be asked to confirm. Of course if the screen goes black for 30 seconds, you know you selected something wrong and it will ask you again. But after you get all of that done, it asks about your sound. There my friend should be what should help.

Is it a 40GB?  There's a rumor (haven't verified) that the 40GB versions are having near a 40% failure rate.  Tried exchanging it?

40GB is the 2nd highest GB for PS3 right? If it is then yes thats what I have... but I know the system works because my brother took it too his house and had no problems with it.

No.

80GB Version
60GB Version
2 40GB Versions (Internationally, if you want, I can find out which is which)
20GB Version

I wish I was the last surviving person but becoming the angel of death in the process.
