The systems for bosses have drastically changed for the xpac. Especially in heroic runs. Mind you, I have yet to do them since I do not have a level 70 character...but from what I heard its well worth it.

Arenas are set up so then you can go after your same faction or the other faction. PvP in the most hardcore fashion. I have also yet to do this, but from what I hear...its brutal.

Battlegrounds are now multi-realm. Which means you can team up with others of your faction and spank not only the other faction but other realms as well. Its a wonderful thing. Plus, it speeds up the time you have to wait to enter into a particular BG. The new one "Eye of the Storm" is supposedly a pain in the butt to do, but fun.

My chars are: 26 Dreani Pally, 8 Dwarf Hunter (Pernolde Server - PvE)
62 Undead Priest (Stormreaver Server - PvP)

my ne was on scilla, the undead on the forgotten coast

The whole 3 fold rule, and also that you have a spirit animal, guardian angel to guide and watch over you. Those are the best examples I can give.

As for my looks...you're off your rocker.

Dun call me baby!  I maybe only 5'3" but damnit...I am not baby size!

So none of the crazy pagan sex rites?

Blood sugar baby?  sex magick?

fertility rites roolzor XD

On the issue of my religious preference: I am not "brave" for admitting my choice nor do I push it on others. The mind set I have is to let people choose their own path of belief system. Being open about this topic is part of helping society evolve past petty differences (one can only hope for this).

Originally, I was christened Roman Cath. For about 13 or so years I went to church with my mother as often as she went. As I grew up my views of the church and their belief system just didn't mesh with mine. So, I went looking around at Celtic (I am part Irish) and older beliefs. Found Wicca. Now, Wicca is a newer system...but based on the older statues set back in midevil times before Christianity took a larger hold on the toniculations of that time period.

No, I do not practice in a coven. I'm considered a solitary practitioner. Spells and such could be cast, however to do "spells" you do not always need the extra bells and whistles. A simple candle or paper can do. Meditation works as well. Mind you, I use the term Wicca for my belief system because it covers the smaller part of my system. I mix a lot of different "pagan" beliefs as well as others into what makes up my system.

I hope the above made sense.

Well I guess I'm just scared of large groups of christians preaching..  It makes me reactionary ;P

FYI wicca is 2 seperate belief systems, modern and ancient.  It is generally thought to be based on the celtic (not just scot/ire, most of mid-northern and south-western europe held celts) traditions from not midieval times, but nearly the stone age.  Druidry was one form of these celtic traditions, and many of the refinements you see in modern wicca stem from druidry.  Modern wicca is a streamlined set of principles by which authors who study the ancient ways can translate these ways so they can be understood and practiced by modern people.  Important differences include availablity of reagents for spells vs being forced to grow or make your own, and the ability to copy spells from others easily via the internet or published books vs having to belong to a coven or become an apprentice to learn the rituals.

Also, I wonder exactly what you think of your intentions and the actual properties of the results of the spells that you cast..  How do you think of these things?

I think ancient people embraced the communal ritualism, the power to focus everyone's thoughts together to help achieve goals..

I think magick is little understood, another word for it is biofeedback.  This phenomenon, which some very intelligent people have been promoting, is the idea that positive thinking (whether through counseling, prayer, meditation, spells, or whatever) and relaxation is the best cure for cancer - recently some have been applying it to all illness.  It turns out that there is some evidence that you can measure the difference in outcomes of similar cases based on the mindset of the patient.  If this ability can be studied further and refined scientifically, I think that meditation and ritual will develop a whole new respect for having done it first..  ..just ask the 110+ year old monks, right?

I don't like how in wow you have to have a certain combination of people to take down a given boss..

Let me clarify:

In eq, the devs would design a cool monster and then wildly increase the strength to make it a raid mob..you had to strategize how to use your people efficiently, and after a couple wipes you would get a strategy (or borrow someone elses strategy, but some person could just have a good idea and save the raid) that would deeat that mob with *the people that you have*  In wow, the devs had a specific strategy and combination of people in mind to defeat the monster and variation from that strat is almost impossible without the benefit of being overpowered for the encounter.  Don't get me wrong, going through the motions is fun and everything, but not enough fun to keep me for longer than one or two raids in bwl

I like the current guild system and the raid system has changed since the expansion. Plus instances have 2 settings, Normal and Heroic. So, its not that all of a loss to play WoW. Mind you...you are not taking into account the arena and PvP setup now. Both have evo'd past what EQ has in that aspect of the MMO systems.
Having played on a pve (only a dabble into pvp in eq) server in eq, and a pvp/pve server in wow, I dont really think i can compare the two pvp systems adequately, but I know that I tried a little to play in pvp on eq and it sucked and was hard, but i LOVED playing pvp in wow..  I was night elf chick rogue on pve server to 51 then changed to undead male rogue on pvp...wooow
also the bgs in wow are sick, i have to give it that...i wish more of the actual game was like the bgs
but as far as raiding intensity and the skills the PLAYER had to have vs the skills a TOON have, eq owns wow pretty hard..

I'm Wiccan. So, either way...nah. I like having this allergy, really do.

No shit?  You're pretty brave to admit that in this crowd lol, you must be hawt..  ..sendpixplsthxla~

---

I went through a wicca phase in my teen years.  Being generally curious and of Irish ethnic descent, I studied the druids of ancient Ireland which naturally led me to the study of wicca, which many people believe is the most similar to ancient druidry.  Are you deep into wicca or more of a personal believer who follows some of the general rituals..  ..more specifically, are you part of a wicca group?  I liked wicca because it seemed to not try and put a finger on the divine, but rather stresses your actions and thought patterns.  A lot of people think that the rituals are strange, but the way I see it, they act to focus your thoughts.  I see a lot of similarities in the outcome of wicca and zen buddhism, but of course the methods to achieve these outcomes are vastly different.  Personally, I like all of the accoutrements too (fire, water, daggers, wands, pentacles, colors, bowls, etc.), because they represent something specific yet abstract enough to apply to disparate situations or methods of thinking.

Alas it all ended with the moon expansion, and uber-guild-politics killed any fun that eq used to be..

WoW started with the guild politics bit and then worked its way out from there, so it is inherantly not as cool to be in a guild when thats what you're supposed to do in such a structured way (set # 20 and 40 man raids) vs joining a guild toniculated with people you like and trying to either run zones underpowered or with a massive amount of people

Well, imho, its a pale imitation..
I was in a fairly hardcore raiding guild in each game, and though I have much more time into eq, I raided successfully to Vaelstrasz before I quit..

Nothing wow has to offer can compare to an underpowered raid to the 5th level of the plane of air..(pre velious), or battling other guild alliances for the choicest spot to farm or raid..  Nothing can compare to working together with people in a constant state of flurry for 4 hours straight with nonstop FD monk pulls in the plane of hate or or kael or that badass dragon valley only to be trained from the entrance by a rival guild, which causes you to have a NAKED CR raid....what a nightmare lol, but soooooo much fun.

If I get there ahead of you...I'll be in charge. And I dunno you well enough to deem you worthy of a   position. Maybe just a   position.

Maybe I could just talk at people who disagree with me?  What do you guys think...an eternity of debate vs me as a devil or an eternity of (not-the-fun-kind-of) whippings from Tala?

I made like 10 replies, go back to the last page and read them.

By the way, I claim the only vote for more than once daily smoker.  *flex*

Pricelist in california (for SUPER CHRONIC or PURPLE, the only kind we got heh):
$10  0.5g [0.3g or 0.4g = "whiteboy sacks"]
$20  1.0g or 1.5g (1.5 is the "three for dub" deal) ["whiteboy" 0.8g or 1.2g]
$25  1.75g The "half 1/8th"
$40-$60  - highly variable on quality - 3.5g or 1/8th of 1oz
$80-$110  1/4oz
$175-$200  1/2oz
$250-$350 - again variation is for quality - 1oz

These prices are and have been standard for the last 15 years in the Bay Area, California.
The type of bud we get in norcal is generally MUCH better than anything anyone else gets unless you are from British Columbia or Amsterdam, in which case you can make an argument that ours is equal to theirs.  Expect to pay $10 an 1/8th or $50 an ounce for brown weed, or better yet don't buy brown weed coz it is usually sprayed with pcp and gives you a headache (cell death in the brain).
