to be on the flip side, I thought it was one of the worst sci fi movies i've seen in recent memory.
the camera never stayed still like it was strapped to someones ankle. i thought the main actor absolutely sucked, and it was loaded with inconsistencies (prawns not using their guns because they're just peaceful or workers, yet they kill and steal on a moments notice)
while pretty gory all the gore was in the top left corner of the screen while the camera was spun like it was at the end of a firetruck water hose. the last half was just transformers 2: electric boogaloo
weak mock action documentary was weak
That was the point! It's shaken because *gasp* it's a mock amateur-ish documentary and people aren't supposed to operate the camera like robots.
They don't kill that much...
Also, petty thefts aren't going to get you the death penalty, trying to rally one million people (that are pretty useless) together and then fighting a planet of 6 billion seems a bit absurd. If the aliens had used their weapons I'm pretty sure all of them would have been blasted to hell and back. Moreover, workers did not know how to operate the weapons that well so that's another (important) disadvantage.
Although I do agree that the last Act was a bit too much action, but hey, I'm not complaining!
