Obviously few in this topic have read the Zombie Survival Guide! Personally I'd just soil myself and get eaten.

You can save them. For uploading, there's always rapidshare or something like that. BUT you'd need FRAPS or something to record them in a file format that would be viewable without having Company of Heroes yourself.

Random lnsanity / The US government is going to hell

Yes, we all know how well protests work. Remember how George W. Bush was going to invade Iraq, but then the largest protests the world had ever seen made him change his mind?

Actually, few people would be happier than the Arabs if we took out Iran.

Glad to see the Democrats grew a backbone and are finally putting an end to Bush's warmongering!

O WAIT

Now, I consider myself fairly moderate in regards to the Middle East - I think withdrawing from Iraq without finding some sort of a solution or restoring a modicum of peace would be incredibly dumb, but this is just fucking disgusting. The Democrats could have blocked this if they wanted to, but they didn't. Maybe the Onion article about the U.S. withdrawing from Iraq through Iran won't be so farcical after all...

Also, Hilary Clinton's dead to me. I'm not seeing her as having voted against this amendment or not voted. Not that I was a big fan of her in the first place.

Random lnsanity / Halo 3 (NOT spoilers, don't worry)
« on: September 25, 2007, 12:58:59 pm »
Bah, I have to wait until Christmas for a 360! And Halo 3 is just making the wait that much harder...I could save up and buy a 360 and Halo 3 on my own, but what does that leave my parents to get me for Christmas if I buy everything on my own? That's what they said to the idea, anyway.

Can anybody fucking tell me what makes a word bad?

Of course not, and the truth is that there's no bad words or "cuss words". Stop contributing to these cocksuckers that need to worry about oxshit, because they're to fucking stupid to think, and just can't recognize the real problems in this world. Bad words there's no such thing. Stupid people whom think, and do stupid things now that's what we have here.

This topic reminds me of a comcast commercial I have around my area. It starts out with this fucked up cunt mother standing up to a zombie like monster, and explaining that he can't be seen on their TV, because he might give her son nightmares. Now first of all anybody that's not totally fucking hopeless knows that you can dream about shit you never imagined so that's just hopeless, but in all reality the worst thing on this world for that pathetic kid is his fucked up mother who's leading him into the real world like a blind folded man towards a steep cliff.

Just like the sheltered child, pretending that you can't say certain words, because they're bad is only going to work backwards against us, and hurt. It's not the words, but that which you advocate.

Just watch the South Park episode "It Hits the Fan." It has a pretty good lesson on why we have "bad" words. Aside from what schneereich said about society needing words to express extreme emotions, the fact that they're taboo simply makes them fun to say. If you overuse them, the fun in saying them goes away and they also become less useful for expressing extreme emotions. If I call everybody who mildly irritates me a fucking cunt, what the hell do I call somebody who I utterly loathe?

Anyway, yeah, I swear a lot. I'm not like a sailor or anything, but I'd never think twice about dropping a few f-bombs in a casual setting.

Random lnsanity / Anybody here have World in Conflict?
« on: September 19, 2007, 11:53:10 pm »
Really, really good. Me and Penguinman were playing it earlier tonight together. Very fast paced, lots of action, easy to jump into if you're new, or want to play a quick game (the typical game lasts around 10 minutes, because there is no base building or economy). It's heavy on micromanagement, which I usually hate, but it's perfectly manageable, because, typically, you'll control a half-dozen units AT MOST in multiplayer. Scale isn't sacrificed, though - the game supports up to 16 players on a server, so there's always plenty of targets for your artillery and air strikes, which are plentiful (and varied - you can call in napalm, tank busters, carpet bombing, and even engage in chemical and nuclear warfare).

Basically, in my opinion, it's the perfect RTS - it makes the clickfest manageable and fun. The only issues with the game I've had are technical (my graphics card is the one listed in the minimum requirements on the box, so no surprise there), and also there's the occasional problem of having all your support guys playing with heavy artillery instead of throwing out some AA to stop your tanks from getting raped by helis. Oh, and heavy artillery is imbalanced - American heavy artillery is crap, NATO's is decent, Soviets' rocks. Other than that? Awesomeness all around.
