Flipper - Generic
Gang of Four - Entertainment

Suicide - Suicide
Talking Heads - Remain in Light

The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground
The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat

That's right, TVU gets TWO albums on there cause they're both complete landmarks and different. So, we got some hip hop, folk, punk, new wave, post-punk, etc. Sorry, no metal, that I can think of at least. I made this list in about 5 mins, so I might update it later with more stuff (maybe steal some of Dagny's). Also, I wouldn't expect people to like all of these albums immediately. With some of em, it took lots of plays for them to finally "click" and stuff. All are brilliant.

I have and love the bold. I haven't heard a bunch of those.

Best decade imo is 80s.

Are you fucking kidding me? <--- I actually exclaimed this upon reading that statement.

I would say that the 80's is the worst decade.

60's 70's 80's and early 90's was the best years for Rock (that is true Rock), Metal, and Hair-Metal
there may be a few bands today that call themselves "Rock" but the prime years are gone for now
maybe someday a band will come along and bring back Pure honest to God Rock!

Rock has existed

40, 50, 60 70, 80, 90, 00

You listed the best years as

60, 70, 80, 90

That leaves

40, 50, 00

as the worst

I just wanted to point out that you listed most of the decades that rock has even existed as the best.

Oh you need to put some Opeth albums on there. Morningrise, Blackwater Park, Deliverance, Damnation and maybe Ghost Reveries are all must hear

I hold it as a default that everyone just ought to listen to Opeth period. I wan't about to put most of their albums on there, but I couldn't pick just one.

Both Radiohead and The Mars Volta are on there.

R.E.M. isn't good enough.

Bathory - Blood Fire Death

replace that with twilight of the gods or hammerheart

i would aslo say virgin black's requiem- mezzo forte should be in there.

I've listened to every Bathory album once. The only one I liked was Blood Fire Death.

The door is that way.

1.) Cultural significance, marker of the times. All that jazz.

2.) Talk about slurring all you want, great voice.

3.) I never get bored listening to it.
