Playing: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Im playing it because i just got the shivering Isle expasion pack and its a lot of fun.

If I buy Oblivion again, I'm buying the PS3's GOTY-version. But with Assassin's Creed in a few days followed by the Wings of the Goddess expansion pack for FFXI in later-November, probably won't be until late December I get it. (Then again, that could also depend on MGS4's release date too.)

The Elder Srolls: Morrowind

I know I am outdated on this one, but I just started to enjoy playing it again.

something about morrowind, that was lost in oblivion, although I liked oblivion too.

I agree. I thought Oblivion was good on its own (except for the vampirism, that sucked period in Oblivion). But c'mon, nowhere near as good as Morrowind even with many of the major mods. However, I would give it to Oblivion for having the some of the best graphics for the year. But still, it just seemed to have too many flaws. In particular, I didn't like the new vampire system (or it having no lycanthropy infection). The biggest flaw that ruined it for me was they went too down-to-the-letter on the character customization. I never could get the character I liked.

So the games I'm interested in right now to buy based off of this thread are...

Civ4
Halflife 1, 2 etc
Dead Rising

Any other suggestions?

If you haven't played F.E.A.R., you'll never experience a game full of horror and gore. With it coming from someone who has no fears and not scared by any horror movie/game period... well you get the idea.

Neforatu, Morrowind is awesome.

Well if you wanna talk WoW, I'll put in FFXI since I'm continuously playing it and am a veteran FFXI-player. Which should be obvious from my nation's name, as one of FFXI's areas is Konschtat Highlands. (Dantai - Hume Female - Levels: 75DRG, 75WHM, 70RDM, 53SMN, etc.; Bastok rank 10, San d'Oria rank 10, Windurst rank 6, Zilart Missions completed, CoP@8-4, ToAU@44, and Private-First Class rank in Assault.)

if the irresistible object bounces of the immovable one, it still stops, even if it's by a millisecond.

Untrue. I give you an example of the Apollo missions in space. In Apollo 13, they bounced off the moon not even by hitting it but by going around and thrusting into the gravity field. I also give you the theory used in the Lost in Space movie: theoretically, if an irrestible object is going at a high-enough speed, when it hits the immovable object (which is the sun), the gravitational magnetic field will cause the irresistible object to warp to another area in space. This is also a similar theory to what we use for creating power from black holes (we being the American/English alliance of scientists, not including myself mind you).

I also give you another example that even in space, something normally immovable is logically movable due to it's very own gravitational field. But even if that were not so, we have two magnets in our hands. The immovable magnet which one hand is holding on to does not move, however the irresistible magnet will find itself unresisting to the immovable magnet.

Finally, the paradox originally given has to do with an unstoppable force and an immovable object, not an irresistible object. I admit I don't entirely know how it goes in quantum physics, however I do know how to think outside of the box, or at least think above the Earth anyways. Also, remember, just because our language considers something immovable-doesn't mean it is immovable in the universe.

Edit: I will try to give the proper theory on the latest paradox by tomorrow (or today? lol) since I'm going to bed now.

How IS Civ 4 compared to Civ 3? Civ 3 was easily one of my favorite games of all time, so for me it has some big shoes to fill.
dats how i feel bout it too but Civ4 does sound worthy so maybe its time to spring for it lol

Heh, I personally prefer FFXII's combat strategy. FFIX is the only FF I don't like of that I've played (FFXI, FFX, and FFVIII are favorites of mine.)
da combat strategy is there but the combat system sux lol da whole reason i like FFIX is the ability learning system where you battle w/ a weapon until you learn that weapons abilities then you can equip abetter weapon using those newly learned abilities. FFX and FFX-2 took that away which pissed me off but it was a trade off cuz the sphere grid was awesome. plus FFIX has my two favorite characters Blank and Zidane Blank is a savage cuz he has a F***ing belt over his eyes and Zidane has a monkey tail lol. btw how did you get your hands on FFVIII i can't find one anywhere!

I meant the combat system really...

As for FFVIII, I still got my original 4 discs from when it came out in 1999-first game I bought for my Playstation. I also have a greatest-hits set since the original 4 are scratched beyond belief.

I would honestly have to play Civ3/Civ4 again to give a worthwhile opinion on that.

Random lnsanity / Trust.
« on: November 08, 2007, 07:55:01 am »
It doesn't matter how much you trust another person, what matters is if you trust yourself and that which around you is trustworthy. For the sake of the original post, trust can only be earned-not given, not taken. Of course, regardless-one is truly a fool to trust another human being a hundred percent-we must always be schrewd and rebellious in one way or another. Otherwise, we fail as human beings.

Since i'm psychologist, and
since i'm expirienced in online browser games (i was one of the leaders of tribe in Tribal
wars and i know how difficult it could be) i would make some suggestions in next few days.

I'm calling you out on that.

Edit: You may notice my general hatred towards psychologists stemming from my own philosophical views if you come out.

Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword

Just..............................one.....................more..................

how is Civ 4? i love Civ3 but am sceptical bout Civ 4 but still interested in getting it

I used to play Civ4, was fun too...

I'm now playing FFXII, to finish it up as well followed by Valkyrie Profile 2. I finished Haunting Ground with Ending A this afternoon and still playing it too to get the other endings. Anyhow, I figured I should finish up all my current games I've yet to beat while waiting on MGS4.
urrr i am a huge Final Fantasy fan but i absolutely loath the battle system in FFXII FFIX is my favorite but combatwise FFX is the best so far

Heh, I personally prefer FFXII's combat strategy. FFIX is the only FF I don't like of that I've played (FFXI, FFX, and FFVIII are favorites of mine.)

what would happen if an unstoppable force hits an immovable object?

Don't mean to double-post, but I didn't get a chance to answer this last night, went to sleep beforehand.

Answer: the unstoppable force will simply bounce off an immovable object. Just because you can't stop something doesn't mean you can't bounce it off.

worst. myspace. quote. ever.

"Only remember the past and the future, but not the present, as it's already happened..."

1) How can you remember the future? PARADOX!
2) Why has the PRESENT (which means now) already happened?
3) If your reason for not remembering the present is because it's already happened, why would you want to remember the past? Hasn't it already happened?

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!

To remember the future is to know why you fight for, the present has already happened for it is what we fight. Remember not the past except as a key to the future.

Edit: I read that wrong last night, thought it was a similar question. The real answer is pretty close however.

We must remember the future, so that we may have the unwillingness to lose a fight.
We must forget the present, so that we can nullify all pain unto us.
We must remember the past, so that we can never forget the pains brought unto us from the enemy we seek the destruction thereof.

Everyone knows about them "what are you...?" threads, this is another one. I figured I'd start it since it was on my mind. Pretty much post what game you're currently playing. Rules are, no games on the Internet (ie. a browser game like Cybernations, KingsofChaos, Nationstates, etc., also to examplify: flash-based games) and no double-posting to prevent spam. You can also state why you're playing if for a particular reason.

Since I started it, I'll go first.

Haunting Ground - I never did finish it, despite the fact I owned it since it came out. And since I lost my data, I had to start over and I love the story from how far I got with it.

That's sub-par for PS3 ads, it could be much better. :/

Edit: But what's anything got to do with you being Jewish?
