So, my god, was this movie bad.
First, it's about as campy as you could possibly expect. Apparently, some ship with leonard nemoy in Autobot form tried to escape from Cybertron back in the day an failed. the entire moon race was about this, and despite how the trailers make it seem like the autobots are leaving because they were lied to, it was really everyone who was lied to.
Moving on, theres giant battle sequences, but they continue the whole "difficult to tell who is who" trend for the most part. Then, for no apparent reason other than to throw whatever there was of a story into the toilet as they could,
.
Much of the action happens "off-screen" and is just referred to. In fact there are 2 major events which happen off-screen that we don't get to see:
Not to mention, at one point it's following the humans as they run around chicago and try not to die, when suddenly, they fall off a building and what plot device comes out of nowhere to save the day? Bumblebee. Literally, it had been maybe 10 minutes since he was on screen, he runs up, saved 2 people, lands, and then runs off again to, get this:
"Fight with his fellow autobots".
Roughly 30 seconds later, we find that he was alamost IMMEDIATLY captured by decepticons.
Seriously. He saves Sam and, THIRTY FUCKING SECONDS LATER, he's detained by decepticons.
This movie will hopefully be the final one in the series, as they've killed pretty much every main character minus optimus and bumblebee that wasn't there for comic relief.
Finally, we can put this travesty of film-making to bed and pray that it never happens again.
