so it broke. I bought a highly reviewed Asus wifi adapter which boasted bigger numbers on its spec sheet than my great wifi adapter and 1/3rd the price. ALL the numbers were BIGGER NUMBERS! Pretty crazy. But now I got it, and it seems...slower. Actually, it's only on youtube that it seems slower. I used to be able to stream 720p vids no problem. Now vids I used to be able to stream at 720p arent even streaming at lower resolutions.
Straight single downloads are still going uber fast, I easily get 2MB/s, and signal is near max, and network connection is 54mbps... Speedtest.net has me at even higher speeds than before, from 15 to 16/17MB/s.
I don't really know how to diagnose if I'm going crazy or if it's the adapter.
The only difference between this one and the last one is it has 2 instead of my old one which had 3 antennae, and instead of PCI it is PCI-E and it's a really short PCI-E.
Halps, does anyone know why Im noticing this problem? My network likely didnt suddenly get more tax'd when I got this adapter...
