It's an error that occurs within games that use the Source FPS engine (also called the hl2 engine), such as the games from The Orange Box. From a recent Google jaunt, it appears to be damn near impossible to fix. Even uninstalling and reinstalling Steam and the games doesn't fix it.

Yes, I posted yesterday. You just can't see it because it's invisible.

Rewinded my computer to a system restore point back on the sunday before last. Microsoft, in its eternal wisdom, decided that recently created files shouldn't be removed when you go back to a system restore point, which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing, but I'll keep my hopes up.

Gah, that didn't work either.

I'll try the factory defaults system reset tomorrow. We just did it like a month or two ago due to total windows existence failure, so there isn't really anything important on the computer yet.

EDIT: whoops, didn't mean to post that. Also it's still Friday where I live.

Music site that lets me download free, legal music in exchange for watching 10 tv commercials per song downloaded. =D

No DRM, either, so I'll still be able to play the songs if they go bankrupt like Spiralfrog did, except they welded DRM to all the songs so all their music burned up along with them.

And they have those crappy Finnish metal bands I like that I can't find via pirating. =D

I posted a link to my entire photobucket album (not a large album, but nevertheless an album) of naughty pictures of females earlier in the topic, along with the private album password. Go look for it, should be on the first two or three pages.

I know of another, far larger photobucket album, comprised almost entirely of "fan art" of video game females, maintained by denizens of the Motherland, RI, but I'm still in the process of obtaining the password.

They haven't done anything to prevent you from just copy/pasting the URL bar and watching the same ad five times at once, so I just find a really short one and do that (they DO have procedures that prevent you from automating it, sadly).
