340 pounds, my DOD guy said that will be the following:
50 lbs armor
100 lbs of batteries
sweeper shotgun
laser designator
optional M240 add-on(or other AR)
2mm cannons
15 lbs high explosive for self destruct in event of capture
Hmm I think your DoD guy is doing it wrong
We NEVER self-destruct equipment like that.
I mean, 15 lbs of HE could take out probably close to half a block.
Additionally, The armor they would put onto it would either be plates or SSA (Sound supression Armor) which would make the annoying buzz a minimal so that hostiles don't hear it coming. Also, I don't think that 50lbs would be enough armor to do anything. I mean, my FLAK vest plates were 35lbs total, and that only covered about a 2 foot area. They obviously have a LOT of work before it can be armored.
Batteries I'm not sure of
I DOUBT they would put a sweeper shotgun on it because there would be NO REASON for one that powerful when a simple SPAS-12 at the MOST would work
Laser Designators can't be operated by robots because you need to communicate via radio with your command group. The designator only gives you the grid and guides the bomb. It doesn't give you the payload, situtation, ETC
2mm cannons= USELESS (A 9mm pistol is standard issue, and a BB is 4.5mm). A 2mm cannon wouldn't cost to much to maintain because seperate ammo would need to be shipped JUST for it.
And, we NEVER incorporate a self-destruct like that. The largest self-destruct mechanism we use is 1/5thlbs of C4 and that is on the predator UAV.
