Alright, Assassin's Creed just came out for the PC a couple of days back. Now, the real question is,"Is it really that good?" I mean, i've watched the movies and everything, and the game looks absolutely gorgeous. Oblivion is like the only game that looks just as good as Assassin's Creed.
I've read all the reviews the game has received and its been mixed so far. IGN has given it 7.8(for the PC) while Gamespot has given it 8.5(for the PC). It's really annoying when a game gets mixed reviews because, you never know whether it is good or not.

Sry guys, I posted this twice(but misspelling Creed, just made me uneasy)
Have completed it, and let me say, it is awesome. Frankly awesome.
It's a good story, lacking in places, and just silly in others. But what makes it amazing is threefold:
the gameplay - oh boy. oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. I get wet just remembering it. The ability to go around a city and do what the hell you want is unparralleled since GTA. Rampage and kill civilians if you like (just not too many). Ignore stealth entirely, like I did, and just perfect counter moves so that you can annihiliate a whole city full of guards in one fight (if they don't pussy out and run away from you). Sneak around like an absolute master. Climb pretty much anything, dart around like Mohammed Ali, jump off the highest buildings in every city. Mate, seriously, if you don't play this game you are missing out.
the graphics - they are good. they are excellent. they are fucking astonishing. did I mention that they were good. other than Madden 08 on the PS3, I'm struggling to think of any new games on the same level. the physics, the shadows, the lighting, it's all absolutely sumptuous stuff, gorgeous to a tee.
the immersion - I struggle to remember any console game (because that's how it should be played, on the 360 or PS3) which dragged you kicking and screaming in to so complete a world as this. granted, by the time you get to the end of the game and you're saving you umpteenth citizen, it's a little familiar, but it doesn't really ever get boring. the cities are enormous and inviting, the music and dialogue is engaging, with some particularly great voice acting, and, while the meta-plot is ridiculous, what goes on in the cities themselves can be seriously entertaining.
It really is a great game, even if you're just gonna play it the once through.
