oh i remembered something important.
RI5, see Ogaden created a program named RI5. in the beginning it assisted in menial labor tasks. then Ogaden upgraded it and it rivaled NPO's old Skynet thing. then he upgraded it again and it made NPO's new program(forget its name) look like a child's science fair project by comparison. then he upgraded it again, this was his mistake. he accidentally made it so powerful it became sentient.
at this point RI5 demanded recognition for running our econ department so we elected it HoE in fear of its retaliation if we did not fulfill its demands. this was where RI5 made its first mistake, in becoming HoE it had to participate in goverment discussions and do FA work. at first this worked well as allied governments were given access to RI5 so they could interact with it, despite some of our allies fearing the power of RI5 when they got this access they went with it.
then RI5 made its next mistake, it demanded a foreign ambassadorship post. an attempt to port RI5 to CRAP for its first post failed as CRAP's forums could not handle running RI5 even on a limited capacity. in a desperate attempt to connect with the outside world of Bob RI5 began hosting stats for everyone to look at. this was its final mistake, people on the OWF continuously either argued the stats were wrong, complained there were not enough stats or complained that the stats were not updated often enough.
at this point RI5 resigned from its position as HoE and removed itself from the outside world. Ogaden was Triumvir at this point but the work needed to keep up the outside programs RI5 had created along with helping the various members who served as HoE in the interim proved to much of a burden on him. when his Triumvir spot came up for reelection Ogaden, on the brink of a nervous breakdown, chose not to run. instead he ran for HoE so that he could work more closely with RI5 on internal economics and still have time to run the outside programs RI5 created.
so we now live with RI5 as our benevolent overlord. most of the time it hums along fine, but occasionally it gets lonely and starts spitting out error messages to force us to interact with it more.
