[17:15] DamenDome: Well, I'll try to keep it brief.
[17:17] DamenDome: About 20-30 years ago, my dad got in a real bad explosion while trying to save a few of his friends from a propane related fire...ever since, he's had to deal with many injuries and surgeries. In 2001, he was legally disabled but he couldn't get the court date and he was struggling to work. Eventually all he could do to get by was mow and farm. My mom and dad were divorced by then. In 2006, he had a knee replaced and he couldn't go to rehab because he wasn't getting disability and didn't have the money.
[17:18] DamenDome: Earlier this year, I come home from school to learn that there was something wrong with his operation and that he was in the hospital. His legs had began to clot, and he would have died of a heart attack or a stroke if it had been just a couple more hours. Just a couple hours, and he would have been dead. That really got to me, and I mean really got to me.
[17:19] DamenDome: SO, yeah
[17:19] DamenDome: With his disability, he has still yet to receive a check
[17:19] DamenDome: He's been legally disabled for 6 years and he finally got into court a couple months ago
