So I have a girlfriend...sorta. I've been dating her for a couple of weeks. And I've been thinking of breaking up with her because I don't really see her as a girlfriend. But she really likes me so I gave it a try. Anyways, I've been talking to another girl that I really like. And I'm almost sure that she likes me. And my girlfriend right now for some reason isn't talking to me. She just passes me in the hallways like I'm not there. I'm not sure why. I want to ask the second girl out, but I don't know if me and my girlfriend are officially broken up. She might just all of a sudden come up to me and ask me if I wanted to go to a movie or something...which would be awkward if I was dating girl #2. I have an idea of what I should do, but what do you think I should do?

Probably talk to your 1st girlfriend. You could probably tell by the way you two talk, and if not, just ask. But if you get to the point where you have to ask, it's probably a no.. But you should double check or you'll be known as "That bastard who cheats, stay away from him."

I laughed in a sad way. I got the whole "not talking thing" once before. Luckily for me, it was about six months before anyone else came along, so it was pretty obvious there was nothing going on by the time I got around to the next girl.

Advice: communicate with girl one.  Figure out why she isn't talking to you, and if she's already mad at you, great, she's mad anyway: might as well break up with her.  If she isn't mad, just do it normally and be nice, then ask out girl #2.

You don't like her as a girlfriend to begin with, and she's being a bitch.

Ask out girl #2, and then make sure girl #1 is aware of it. If she's only ignoring you to mess with your head, she'll go crazy knowing you don't care and can get other girls at the drop of a hat.
